Pre & Post Treatment

Spray Tan:

Pre- Wax and exfoliate your skin before the day of your tan. We recommend at least 24 hours beforehand. Skin must be completely clean, e.g. no deodorant, perfumes or moisturiser to be worn on the day. We recommend tanning at least 24 hours prior to your event.

Post- We have a large variety of tanning products. From express tans that can stay on as little as 1 hour, up to 8+ hour tans which are suitable for sleeping in. Please discuss with us your desired result and lifestyle so we can choose the correct tan for you. When rinsing your tan, make sure you stand under the running water for up to 60 seconds. Do not scrub or use soap on your body. When you exit the shower, pat yourself dry with a towel, do not rub. The tan will still develop over the next 10 hours! To extend the life of your tan we recommend using a Tan Extender Moisturiser.

Eyelash extensions:

Pre- Please arrive to your appointment with clean lashes. If we have to clean your lashes first, this will cut into your lashing time and you may not get your desired result.

Post- Do not get your lashes wet for the next 24 hours. This includes getting steamed in the shower! Touch and fiddle with your lashes as little as possible. If you need to adjust them, use a spoolie, not your fingers. Your fingers are covered in oils that will break down the adhesive and cause your lashes to fall out. Cleanse your lashes every 2-3 days (depending on how much makeup you wear) using our lash foam. As aftercare we recommend using a lash serum to keep your natural lashes strong and healthy, especially if you are planning on wearing false lashes all the time.

Brow Treatments:

Pre- Remove all makeup from your brow area. This will help the colour or lamination achieve best results.

Post- Do not get your brows wet for 24 hours and try not to touch them during this time. We recommend using some brow oils to nourish you’re your brows and keep them in their best condition.

SHR:

Pre- Do not wax or tweezer hair for four weeks prior to treatment. Shave the area the day before your appointment, leaving just a small patch so we can examine the hair type for best results. Come with clean skin. This includes tanning products.

Post- Soothe the area post treatment with a high-quality moisturiser. Protect the area from the sun. If it is exposed, you will need to be wearing sunscreen. Avoid exercise and sweating straight after treatment to avoid irritation. Avoid swimming in chlorinated water for 24 hours. Do not tweezer or pull out the hairs, they will fall out naturally. After 3 days you can exfoliate the area. STICK TO YOUR SCHEDULE. Keep your appointments at regular intervals advised by your therapist for best results.

RF Skin Tightening:

Pre- This treatment is not suitable for anyone with a pacemaker, internal defibrillator or any active implanted device. Avoid any skin peels or laser procedure for 2 weeks prior to treatment. Be well hydrated on the day of treatment.

Post- You may experience minimal redness and warmth in the treatment area, but this settles quickly. Do not try to cool the skin immediately post treatment as the heat promotes the reaction of collagen fibres. Do not exfoliate or use retinol or AHA products for at least 3 days post treatment to avoid irritation. We recommend a course of 6 – 10 treatments which can be scheduled as often as once or twice a week.

Body Contour:

Pre- Hydration is key! Try to consume 2L of water over a 24-hour period before coming in for your appointment. It is also best if during this time you do not consume too many foods high in fat, sugar or carbohydrates. Dry body brushing will help to prepare the skin surface and start the detoxification process. Don’t forget to use a good moisturiser to ensure the skin is in good condition.

Post: To ensure optimum results we recommend a minimum of 20 min elevated heart rate cardio exercise straight after your appointment. This will utilise energy and ensure it is not restored. In the next 24 hours you will need to consume another 2L of water and do another dry body brush to assist with the lymphatic drainage. You can assist this further through treatments such as massage or sauna use. To get the longest lasting results you will need to live a healthy and active lifestyle.

IPL:

Pre- You will NEED to book a FREE consultation appointment first so that we can do a “test patch” to ensure you are suitable for treatment and can expect positive results. At this appointment we will also be discussing professional skincare range with you which we recommend using for at least a week prior to treatment. If any spots look suspicious to us we will ask you to please provide a doctors certificate approving the suitability for IPL. Avoid any irritating fragranced products 3 days prior to treatment.

Post- It is vital you wear sunscreen every day and keep out of the sun as much as possible to protect your new skin from UV damage. Avoid getting your skin too hot for the next 24 hours. This includes hot showers, saunas, steam or exercise. It is completely normal for your skin to have a little redness post treatment. This usually only lasts several hours. If you are having treatment for pigmentation, you may experience a slightly grazed appearance. This is also completely normal, and it is very important not to pick at it or exfoliate until the skin naturally returns to its normal, healthy state.

Tattoo Removal:

Pre- We cannot treat significantly sun damaged or overly tanned skin due to high risk of complications. If possible, avoid UV exposure at least 7-10 days prior to any procedure. Shave the area the day before or day of (if possible) and have the area completely cleaned with soap and water. To maximise comfort, we recommend taking paracetamol 500mg about 90 minutes prior to service, although this is not mandatory. Pain medication such as Motrin, Aspirin and Aleve should be avoided 3-7 days prior to treatment due to the increased risk of bleeding and NO Retin-A or other Retinols should be used before any treatments.

Post- If you experience redness or swelling after treatment, apply a cold pack for 15-20 minutes to the affected area(s) up to 4 times a day. OTC Hydrocortisone cream(e.g. Cortaid 1% cream) may be applied over the involved areas at bedtime if desired. Do not wear any restricted clothing over the area for at least 48-72 hours. Make sure to use your aftercare as prescribed. It is important to not let the area dry out or scab. Avoid total saturation from showering and do not scrub the area until it is completely healed.
